Pastizz is a platform that helps users discover pastizzerias (pastizzi shops) across Malta. The Service provides:

• Interactive map showing pastizzeria locations
• Shop information including hours, ratings, and reviews
• User accounts for saving favorites and submitting reviews
• Community-contributed information such as opening hours

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may create an account using Google Sign-In. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Community Contributions

Users may submit reviews, suggest new locations, or update opening hours. By contributing:

• You grant Pastizz a license to use and display this information publicly
• You confirm the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge
• You understand that misinformation may lead to account restrictions

We reserve the right to verify, edit, or remove any community contributions that do not meet our quality standards.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Submit false or misleading information
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without permission
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Post spam or commercial solicitations

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user-submitted content) are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used without prior written permission. The Pastizz name, logo, and branding are our exclusive property.

The Service uses third-party services including Google Maps data via Google Places API, Mapbox for map rendering, and Firebase for authentication. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee the accuracy of shop information, opening hours, or user reviews. We recommend verifying important information directly with shops before visiting.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pastizz and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malta, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Malta.
